At Mimi’s Village, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by exploring the world around them. It is our goal to provide an environment that makes children feel welcomed and at home. In our program, children will feel genuinely cared for and cherished.
Children in my program will hear and speak another language in addition to English. We are a bilingual program – daily care and activities will be provided in both Russian and English. Learning a second language at a young age encourages your child’s intellectual and social development.
Mimi’s Village is located in a warm, inviting single family home in the Portola Highlands neighborhood of San Bruno. We’ve thoughtfully designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), art area (for expressing emotions and ideas), and sensory area (for spatial awareness and learning through the five senses).
Children will have some outdoor time everyday in my private yard or outdoor space. Children need space to run, jump, and move!
At Mimi’s Village, I want to provide a loving home away from home.
We’ve provided information about our philosophies and offerings to help you decide if our program may be right for your family.
Come see what makes Mimi’s Village unique. If we are currently hosting tours, you can request or schedule a tour at the top of this page.
If you would like to enroll, please submit an application. Note that we require tours for all prospective families.
After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
Hello! I am Maiya, the founder of Mimi’s Village. I was inspired to start my own program because I saw a need for high-quality care in my community.
I am a parent of two toddlers. Through my own experience of choosing a daycare for my daughters, I have learned what I want in a child care program as a parent and what I want to offer as a provider.
I have 12 years of experience working with young children.
